The odds of getting leukemia go up with age. We here a lot about children getting it, but mainly that is because it more dramtic when kids get it. It is still very rare in childhood or even in people under 60.
Many types of leukemia are completly beatable these days. The survival rates depend on the type of leukemia, and as well as the age of the patient. The younger you are, the better your chance of beating it. And it doesnt have tradiational stages like other cancers do.
Treatments include chemotherapy, and often stem cell and bone marrow transpants. Some chronic forms of leukemia can be managed with mild medications.
There is not much one can do to prevent it. It has been said that exposure to radiation and toxins can increase your chances of getting it.

Do you have any idea how many different kinds of leukemia there are?
Without being specific the answers to your questions are useless.
If you take all leukemias in general the biggest age group to get it is between the ages of 75-84.
They are staged 0-4.
It is impossible to prevent or lower your risk.
It is impossible to answer your other questions without knowing what kind of leukemia you are referring to.
