How does the time in mitosis differ in cancer cells? How does the time in mitosis differ in cancer cells?
i know that cancer cells dont respond to the signal to regulate growth but what is the difference in their time in mitosis compared to normal cells? like do cancer cells take longer in mitosis or shorter?
Answer by JayM
It doesn't. A cancer cell takes the same amount of time to divide as a normal cell, it is just that cancer cells don't stop dividing when they're supposed to. But in any case, the process of mitosis is the same in both normal and transformed cells.
