Where in the body does neuroindocrin carcinoma originate? My husband was diagnosed with this cancer. The tumor was in his neck in a lymph node. They removed it and biopsied it and thats when they said it's neuroindocrin carcinoma. They scheduled us for an appointment next week, but until then does anyone know anything about this cancer? Thank you much

I'm 16 and my dad just got diagnosed with slow growing neuroendocrine carcinoma. It has metastasized to the point where it is very difficult to find the origin. Although the doctors aren't sure, they think that it has spread through the blood from the liver. This cancer is incredibly rare. My dad just went to Nashville, Tennessee to see a famous specialist who told him that hormone treatments once a month are the best option. They won't affect him like chemo will, and he will still have energy and be able to work (he will still be himself). MY ADVICE: get as many opinions as you can, even though it can be confusing. Although my dad only has app. 1 year, your husband probably has a lot longer, it really depends.
