Where are the lymph nodes on the back of the neck located?

Where are the lymph nodes on the back of the neck located?I need to know exactly where the lymph nodes on the back of the neck are located. I have looked all over the internet for this info but cannot find it. I have a small, swollen, sore, warm spot on the back of my neck but I cannot find where the lymph nodes are located to confirm if this is a lymph node or not. Thanks for the help.

Limp nodes are located all over your body, the time to worry is when you have a swelling of one, my answer would be to see your doctor. What you could have is a cyst, if the area is warm and tender, also if there is swelling involved. Hopefully what you're experiencing is only a cyst and not a swollen lymp node, lymp nodes normally swell when they're infected, and that is something you should check out right away, they can become cancerous if not treated or removed in a reasonable amount of time.

I don't believe there are any lymph nodes in the back of your neck. They are located in the front on both sides of the adam's apple. Maybe what you have is a cyst? They are usually lanced and drained pretty easily.

What do you think? Answer below! Information about multiple myeloma and other plasma cell neoplasms.
