NUVA RING?? Chances of cancer and/or blood clots?!Ive been on the Nuva Ring for about a year now..i personally love it. My side effects are really minor, i usually get a little nauseus the morning after i insert a new one in, but it only lasts an hour or so. Other than that i cant really complain & my bf doesnt either..but we heard theres chances of cancer & blood clots with the use of the Nuva Ring..im personally not too worried, but he is..he insists on looking into other birth control methods. So should i be concerned & change to another birth control method? if so what would u recommend?
Thanks in advance =)

save ur life...use birth control pills and a man condom/female condom OR wait to you wanna conceive

Almost all hormonal birth controls (the pill, the patch, and the ring) increase your risk for blood clots and other heart/blood related illnesses. That is why it's recommended that you don't smoke while taking hormonal birth control, as it increases the risks. Good luck!

Any birth control containing hormones is going to carry a risk of blood clots or increase the risk of cancer. So that means the Pill, the Patch, injection, or implant. The only way you would avoid this would be to use non-hormone forms of birth control...condoms or diaphragm. Methods like the rhythm method or withdrawal are really not that effective. Even the new IUC Mirena contains hormones. The risk of blood clots and such is different from woman to woman.
