Myeloma UK: Siobhan's Story

In this video from Myeloma UK, Siobhan Burke, the daughter of Tony Burke who has myeloma, shares her family's experience of the disease and their campaigning efforts for Velcade, a treatment for myeloma that was initially barred from use on the NHS. According to Myeloma UK, around 10 people are diagnosed with myeloma in the UK every day. Myeloma is the second most common form of bone marrow cancer in the UK and is currently incurable, but treatable. Myeloma UK informs and supports people affected by myeloma, and helps improve treatment and standards of care through research, campaigning and education. Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma and its related disorders. For more information, visit: www.myeloma.org.uk
