Is Splenda dangerous for cancer prevention?I would like to know more about these "sugar free" foods. I know they are dangerous due to the Aspartame, but if a product is sugar free with Splenda, then is it still dangerous? The ingredients don't say there's aspartame, but it does say it is sweetened with Splenda.

Sucralose, what splenda is, is not good. The body doesn't know what to do with it since its a man-made substance, and simply transforms it into fat.
Hey, you idiot below, there's about ~30 articles on the dangers on chemical sweeteners, I posted one of them and certainly can't be bothered fetching the other dozens. They are all on the site for whoever cares enough about their health to fetch em. I suggest you shut up, all the university studies disagree with you.

Any type of artificial sweetener is made from chemicals and chemicals are bad for us. They cause more than just cancer - birth defects, brain damage in unborn babies - - you get the picture.

splendas ok. people over exaggerate the negative effects of stuff so you buy their stuff, for example: HFCS causes heart problems? but when do you see HFCS without caffeine? which we know causes heart problems?

Please read the links you post next time. Splendra is not turned in to fat. Artificial sweetners get you used to sweet tastes so when you eat things with real sugar you eat too much and get fat. That's all it says. If you have a bit of self control and realize when you're eating *real* sugar vs artificial sweetners you're fine and won't get fat.
And for the person who said all chemicals are bad... you do realize everything is a chemical, correct? Air and water are chemicals too. Just because a chemical is nam-made doesn't mean it is bad.
OP - Splendra has not been shown to cause cancer or any real medical problems. Relax, you're safe. Well, as long as you avoid suntanning as that HAS been proven to cause cancer.
