Is Dartmouth Medical School a good med school for oncology?

Is Dartmouth Medical School a good med school for oncology?I want to be an oncologist and I am planning on going to Dartmouth college after high school (i am a legacy so my chances of getting in are really good). I heard that if you go to Dartmouth college the chances of getting into dartmouth med increase a lot. But is Dartmouth med a good school if you want to be an oncologist? Do they have a lot of oncology courses?

Excellent choice. More than adequate. Remember that most of your actual education in Oncology will be during your residency. Dartmouth will prepare you for just about anything in the way of redisency opportunities. Good luck!

Medical school does not teach any medical specialty...that is the function of your residency program. What you learn at Dartmouth will be the same as what you would learn at the Medical College of Georgia. People who like to believe that one medical school is better than another are the people who are willing to spend $ 50,000 a semester for the same education that can be had for $ 12,000 a semester.

There's much truth in the addage that the best medical school is the one that accepts you.
