This program consists of an individual case study of a 39 year old male presenting with a massive recurrent sarcoma encompassing the upper thigh and posterior pelvis. Dr. Wanebo presents his plan: Target the cancer with high dose chemotherapy using a pelvic perfusion technique, attempt a combined adbominal and posterior pelvic extended resection, and incorporate limb-sparing reconstruction; or if the tumor is found to be too invasive, a hemipelvectomy. Dr. Wanebo and his multidisciplinary team work together in the operating room as these decisions are made.
